Muona Foundation trained farmers in making cheaper and more effective compost fertilizer by using locally available materials such as ashes, goats or poultry droppings, maize bran, water, and 5kg of chemical fertilizer of any desired compost fertilizer as an active ingredient in the production process. This fertilizer is cheaper and more effective than the fertilizer from the shops, which many local farmers can’t afford due to economic hardships. Muona Foundation trained over 200 lead farmers in compost fertilizer production and the lead farmers trained other farmers afterward till most of the local farmers know how to produce the compost or biofertilizer.
